Ilmar Taska

Ilmar Taska (sündinud 21. mail1953Kirovis) on eesti filmilavastaja, -produtsent ja -stsenarist ning kirjanik. Ta on loonud Eesti esimese eratelekanali.

1990. aastal oli Oscari gala ühe osa produtsent. Aastatel 1993–1997 tegeles Kanal 2 loomise ja arendamisega.

Ta lõpetas 1971. aastal Tallinna 22. Keskkooli[1] ja 1976. aastal Ülevenemaalise Riikliku Kinematograafia Instituudi (Moskva kinoinstituudi) filmiteadlasena. Aastatel 1976–1978 töötas Tallinnfilmis stsenaariumide toimetuskolleegiumi liikmena, ta on tegelenud filmidega "Hukkunud Alpinisti hotell", "Navigaator Pirx" ja "Tuulte pesa".[viide?]

1978. aastal asus seoses abiellumisega elama Rootsi. Seal töötas ta näitlejana Remote Control Productionsi ja Nordstjärna teatritruppides ning oli dokumentaalfilmi "Paul Wunderlich" režissöör. 1985. aastal sai Rootsi Instituudi ja Skandinaavia-Ameerika Fondi stipendiumid Ameerikasse, kus tegutses stsenaristi,
