    Television's doctor Michael Mol was pleased when Chamendran Naidoo failed to clinch the top spot in the My Top Billing Dream TV presenter search competition.

    This was because Mol coveted the charming young doctor's skills for his own medicine-focussed lifestyle TV show called The Dr Mol Show.

    "When Michael originally approached me, he confessed he was secretly pleased to see me go so far and not get chosen, as it would mean that he would have the opportunity of having me on his show," says the 26-year-old Capetonian.

    Naidoo is an interviewer and field presenter on the show.

    "Working with Michael is a dream come true. He is someone I draw inspiration from, and will always stick in my mind as South Africa's first 'celebrity doctor'."
